This portable tripod can be used with RoboDot, typically in base mode to:
- Improve wifi range versus ground mounting the RoboDot
- Clear the ground when a 900mhz external LoRa radio antenna is used on RoboDot
- Avoid terrain or ground conditions
- Quickly set up a GPS base station.
The tripod is useful during workflows where the GPS base position is irrelevant or unknown.
Workflows in which the GPS base station position may be irrelevant include any relative positioning or measurement work being performed with a rover/base setup.
In workflows where the starting GPS base point is unknown, operators would post-process the GPS log files to determine an accurate GPS location for the base.
